Description The Solar Installer is responsible for hands-on system installation, ensuring site safety, prepping job sites, providing high-quality and an exceptional customer experience, and assisting in resolving on-site issues as needed. This role is hands-on and growth-oriented for candidates interested in the solar industry or electrical field of work. Solar Installers become registered as Unlicensed Electrical Apprentices and their hours accrue towards qualification as Journeyworker Electrician license, should they so desire to pursue that route. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Perform physical installation of systems/equipment (including but not limited to wire management, mounting, and assembling). • Use power tools, ladders, digging equipment, and other tools while adhering to safety plans and guidelines. • Communicate with clients, supervisors, and other applicable stakeholders regarding project status. • Identify and resolve issues that arise during installations. • Ensure job sites are kept clean, organized, and safe. • Prepare job sites for installations. • Maintain security of equipment issued to each project and notify supervisor of discrepancies or damages. • Adhere to and enforce Site Safety Plans to ensure crew and own safety. Other Duties • Other duties and tasks as assigned by management. Skills/Qualifications • Experience working with hand tools and power tools (preferred). • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organization skills. • Thrives in a team environment. • Resourceful and creative. • Positive and professional demeanor. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation. • Must complete and clear an MVR (motor vehicle report) background screen and be able to successfully drive a company vehicle and/or trailer for work related purposes. • Must complete, acquire, and maintain DOT Medical certification. Physical Requirements • Comfortable working extended hours in extreme environments/climate (cold, heat, wind, etc) (frequent). • Regularly encounter pitched roofs, at heights (with proper safety gear). • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and lifting (frequent). • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs. at a time (frequent). • Must be able to transport and drive for short and long distances for work related events/job sites and be able to travel with crew for occasional overnight, or multiple night, trips within our service area (including but not limited to: MN, WI, IA, SD, ND, NE). DescriptionThe Service Technician is a hands-on position responsible for completing service inquiries for pre-existing customers. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving warranty and service issues; troubleshooting, repairing and replacing system components (including occasional minor roofing repairs as needed); and connecting monitoring systems networks. The Service technician also attends witness tests as assigned by management. This role is eligible to earn qualifying hours towards the MN Journeyworker Electrician License requirements (subject to the terms of the apprenticeship program).Responsibilities & Essential Functions Assess and document warranty and service issues on existing installations and job sites. Install, replace, and repair damaged components to restore system functionality. Complete minor roof repairs as needed. Communicate with clients, supervisors, and other applicable stakeholders regarding service status. Accurately and thoroughly document identified issues, attempted resolutions, and completed resolutions. Attend witness tests as assigned by management.
