Solar Service Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Solar Service Technician to assist in servicing residential solar energy systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting, commissioning, repairing, and maintaining solar PV systems and solar battery storage. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing system performance issues, performing corrective actions, and ensuring monitoring platforms are properly configured. Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot and repair residential solar PV systems and battery storage systems • Perform system commissioning and re-commissioning services • Diagnose and resolve issues with inverters, optimizers, microinverters, and other solar components • Navigate and use monitoring platforms including Enphase, Hoymiles, AP Systems, and SolarEdge • Configure and troubleshoot monitoring platforms to ensure accurate system performance reporting • Replace or repair defective system components (e.g., inverters, panels, batteries) • Perform maintenance checks and inspections to ensure system safety and efficiency • Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with homeowners and project managers • Document service reports, repairs, and system issues accurately Qualifications: • 1+ years of experience working with solar PV systems • Experience with solar batteries (Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, or similar systems) • Understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, wiring schematics, and system layouts • Familiarity with using mobile apps and web-based monitoring platforms • Must have or be willing to learn Enphase, Hoymiles, AP Systems, and SolarEdge platforms • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Comfortable working on roofs and ladders when necessary Preferred (but not required): • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification • NABCEP certification • Electrical or solar installation experience • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $68,778.00 - $80,993.00 per year Benefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
