Missouri Solar Applications (MSA) has been providing solar and energy saving solutions to homes and businesses all over Missouri and surrounding states since it's founding in 2008. MSA markets and sells to commercial and residential users of electricity who want to significantly reduce their electric utility bill. MSA is seeking solar installers to join our team. Right now is one of the best times for individuals to adopt solar power! As a result, we are looking to bring on additional solar installers to meet demand. Position Responsibilities: • Adhere to MSA and OSHA safety standards. • Install quality PV installation to system design specifications. • Ensure that layout, roof attachment, racking and module assembly, combiner box installation, home run wiring, and voltage testing meets expected quality standards. • Complete electrical wiring of solar array (AC and DC) • Problem solve system layouts when design specifications require adjustment. Essential Functions: • Stage materials and tools and load trailers • Perform quality roof penetrations • Assemble racking, mounting systems and modules per specification • Ground and wire the modules and combiner box • Perform voltage testing • Assist with general ground support • Assist with general site preparation and clean up Required Skills: • Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license. • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background. • Lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly. • Bend over and kneel on surfaces. • Squat, crawl, twist in a variety of ways. • Use power tools and other small tools such as hammers and wrenches. • Handle inclement weather. • Must have excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. Preferred Knowledge and Skills: • Understanding of grid-tied PV system design, electrical wire sizing, and conduit connections. • Previous experience installing sola PV on the DC side the system. • Leadership Experience. • NABCEP certification is a plus.
