Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of solar panel systems on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, be comfortable working at heights, and possess the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This position requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Responsibilities • Install solar panels on rooftops and ground-mounted systems according to project specifications while practicing safety. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations. • Utilize power tools and equipment safely, including voltmeters for electrical testing. • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installation. • Conduct system checks to verify proper functionality of solar installations. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all job sites. • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process. • Willing to travel. This is mostly work in Illinois. We travel every week Monday-Friday. Requirements • Experience with solar panel installation or related fields is preferred. • Proficient in using power tools and electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. • Knowledge of NEC standards is a plus. • Comfortable working on roofs and at heights; physical stamina is required for lifting and moving materials 50lbs+. • Familiarity with both high voltage and low voltage systems is beneficial. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. • Knowledge on multiple solar racking systems preferred but not required. • OSHA 10 and 30 preferred but not required.
