Assistant Project Manager (Solar Construction-On-Site NM)

We are seeking a Assistant Project Manager to join our Renewable Energy team in Hobbs, NM. This position works closely with the operations team to ensure projects are completed successfully, on time, and on budget. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is working towards becoming a Project Manager. Please note the location of this position is 100% onsite in Hobbs, NM with eligibility for a rotation schedule. Responsibilities: • Assist the Project Manager to manage overall project performance (quality, scope, schedule, cost, communication, resource issues, risks, and customer satisfaction, utilizing the resources of team members • Provide general support in digital file management • Ensure timely collection of supporting documents from subcontractors • Assist with managing project required construction permits • Update project management software with appropriate status changes • Assist with allocating budget, costs to date, forecasts cost to completion, procurement, and materials management • Develop Contracts and Change orders • Manage purchases of project related materials and equipment • Maintains a full understanding of all contractual obligations for the project and documentation of variances • Ensures that the overall terms and obligations of the prime contract are passed on to the subcontract • Manages daily tracking of work completed and decision making for actions required to meet the project schedule • Directs, guides, and coaches Project Engineers to ensure activities on site are understood and followed • Travel to project sites to compare progress to schedule, compare actual versus estimated cost, check compliance with plans and specifications, review any problems, and verify the quality of work being performed meets contract specifications and AUI guidelines. Job DescriptionOperator SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking an Operator that will be responsible for operating equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.
