Electrical Solar Superintendent - Hagerstown, MD

Position Overview: Are you a natural leader with a passion for solar energy and electrical services? As a Solar Superintendent, you’ll play a key role in overseeing exciting solar projects while leading a team to ensure safety, productivity, and top-notch quality. Your leadership will be crucial in keeping projects on track, ensuring they stay on time, within budget, and meet all safety and compliance standards. In this role, you’ll supervise the day-to-day operations of assigned projects, helping to ensure they exceed customer expectations while staying true to project specifications. You’ll be working on a variety of projects, from solar energy systems to power plants, manufacturing facilities, and renewable energy installations. No two projects are the same, offering you the chance to keep learning and growing in a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry. This is a skilled position that requires strong construction knowledge, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and quality. You’ll be proficient in the products and services offered by Beitzel Corporation and will need to be flexible, as the job may require answering calls off-shift and working extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities • Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything that you do • Conducting routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities • Willingness to learn the NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices • DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing, I-V curve tracing • Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and connections • Maintain a schedule for routine maintenance, service, trouble shooting and repair of equipment at solar photovoltaic facilities including but not limited to: Single Axis trackers, Central or String Inverters, Transformers, AC and DC disconnects, Substation equipment • Maintaining company property such as vehicle, tools, meters and plant stock • Maintaining service reports, inspection documentation, safety paperwork, and spare parts inventory • Provide maintenance and troubleshooting training to technicians and others as needed • Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to remove or eliminate hazards Qualification Requirements • Familiarity with electrical systems and components • Proficiency in using power tools for repair tasks • Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately • Proficiency with MS Office suite • Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight • Valid Driver's License • Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and 70B • OSHA 10 General Industry certificate • Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends Physical Requirements/Work Environment: • Work is to be performed outdoors at various job sites. • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. Service Technician, O&M

What we’re looking for in a Service Technician for O&M • Skilled: Training and experience in both testing and troubleshooting electrical systems. Journeyman license preferred, but not required. Experience in solar is a plus, but not required. • Active: Able to climb ladders, work from a roof, use hand tools, lift up to 75 lbs., and perform the physical work required of independently performing service work on solar systems installed by us or other solar installers. • Safety Conscious: Use all required PPE, including safety harness. Certified in or willing to obtain OSHA 10, First Aid & CPR. Driver’s license with a clean or good driving record. • Team Player: Humble. Excellent communicator. Self-motivated. Hard worker. • Passionate: Excited about Solar Energy.
