What we’re looking for: Nexamp is seeking a Solar Project Developer to generate a development pipeline and lead the development of a range of distributed solar and energy storage projects within the Mid-Atlantic region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project/land development, with 5+ years of solar and energy storage or comparable industry experience. You will be hybrid out of our Washington, DC office and will report to the Vice President, Business Development. What you’ll do: • Originate and develop distributed solar and energy storage projects, simultaneously managing site origination, permitting, interconnection, tax negotiation, revenue contracting, title review, and other development activities. • Develop sales presentations, proposals, and other materials as needed to support project development efforts. • Negotiate complex contracts with private, commercial, and municipal counterparties. • Manage long-term relationships with property owners, energy users, and other project stakeholders. • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and community members to facilitate project permitting and other initiatives. • Foster support from state, county, and local governments, community groups, and project abutters. • Manage external consultants as needed in conjunction with project permitting activities. • Maintain development schedule and budget to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions. • Support internal finance, engineering, and construction teams to facilitate successful project financing and construction. • Up to 60% travel is required; some evening and weekend work required. Compensation The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Nexamp ranges from $120,000 - $130,000.
