Energy Select is hiring beginner installers for solar and lighting in Cumberland, MD. The role involves assisting with the installation of solar panels and retrofitting lighting systems to energy-efficient LEDs. Candidates should be mechanically inclined, physically able to work at heights, and have a valid driver’s license. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, with a pay range of $17.00 - $21.00 per hour. This is an in-person, full-time position. We have been installing solar for the past 8 years as well as performing electrical work such as performing LED retrofits, for the past 20 years. We have opened a branch in Western Maryland and are looking for dedicated team players to help us grow. We have recently become a certified contractor for Potomac Edison and lead their Small business lighting program in Allegany and Garrett County. We offer many services including solar, LED lighting, service O&M, EV charger installation, and home efficiency. We are constantly looking for qualified and dedicated individuals to help grow the company as well as their career. We are currently recruiting driven individuals to join our solar and lighting installation teams for various positions including lighting and solar installers. Position Overview: Energy Select is seeking beginner installers. A positive attitude and being mechanically inclined are the two most important qualities you need. As part of a team, you will retrofit outdated lighting systems to energy-efficient LEDs or help the crew with solar installation on roofs and ground mounts. You will be part of the crew responsible for installation of all necessary equipment including new lighting fixtures, racking, solar panels, and any associated equipment. Responsibilities may include: • Assist with the installation of solar photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial properties from start to finish • Install solar panels, racking systems, and other associated equipment on residential and commercial properties, following company guidelines and safety protocols. This requires being comfortable on the roof and with heights. • Help with setting up the job site which can include laying out tools and equipment • Assist with installing lighting fixtures and systems, effectively installing new lighting fixtures and installing appropriate electrical components when necessary • Converting lights to LEDs in businesses’ across Potomac Edison territory can include warehouses, exterior lighting, pole lighting, shops, and churches • Cleaning up job sites ensuring that no tools, equipment, or mess was left behind • Represent the company in a professional and customer-friendly manner when in people’s homes or businesses’ Requirements • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Physically able to climb a ladder and comfortable with climbing on and off a roof or high job sites • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments. • Must pass a criminal background check and random drug tests. • Willingness to acquire knowledge of material lists and safety guidelines. • Mechanically inclined Benefits • Medical, Vision, Dental, Disability, and Life insurance available • Accrued Paid holidays If you are eager to learn and want to start a hands-on career in energy-efficient installations, we encourage you to apply! Mechanical Solar Installer I - Field Services - Full-time

Position Overview: In this position, you’ll be an essential part of bringing solar energy to life, offering physical and general labor support for solar panel system projects. In addition to solar installations, you’ll also contribute to a variety of mechanical, industrial, and construction projects across multiple industries, including construction, manufacturing, power plants, commercial projects, oil and gas, and wind energy, just to name a few. This role is perfect for someone with a mechanical background and an eagerness to learn. You’ll work closely with the team to ensure that projects are completed successfully, and in doing so, you’ll gain hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of industrial construction practices.
