Facilities Assistant

The Facilities Assistant supports the Facilities Team in all aspects of maintaining a safe, clean, operational and orderly physical environment on AMERISAFE’s main campus and other associated locations as necessary. Duties and Responsibilities: • Performing general building and grounds maintenance tasks as assigned including basic plumbing, carpentry, repair, painting, organizing and cleaning • Maintains the grounds and building to including mowing, trimming, pruning, sweeping, planting, cleaning, and caring • Assist with loading/unloading, moving, assembling, delivering, stocking, and related activities • Maintain tools and equipment in working order and keeps work areas clean and organized • Performs emergency custodial services and related maintenance as necessary • Assist with company activities and events, on and offsite, as necessary • Remain accessible to management during the workday; checks in while working around campus • Perform all work safely and to the operating, quality and timeliness standards of management • Be on-call occasionally and work limited after-hours and weekends as needed • The position may require additional duties to be assigned
