Location Fort Meade, Maryland Job description Diverse Masonry Corporation is hiring experienced Masons to work in the Maryland and Washington area. Employment Type: Full-time Job responsibilities: • Construct or repair masonry surfaces or structures, as needed. • Lay blocks or bricks following blueprints, plans, or drawings. • Create a layout using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, and levels. • Mix cement using hoes, cement-mixing equipment, and/or hand tools. • Cut or break bricks and concrete using hammers, powered abrasive saws, paving breakers, drills, and/or hand tools. • Mixing sand with cement and water to obtain proper consistency. • Smooth out mortar and remove the excess with trowels. • Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedges. • Perform finishing masonry duties, such as installations, mixing mortar, and parging. • Erect staging or scaffolding as needed.
