About the position Responsibilities • Builds and makes routine repairs to structures composed of various masonry materials such as marble, cement, tile, brick, or stone. • Prepares ground for the laying of replacement sidewalks. • Sets forms for structures such as steps and sidewalks. • Plasters and waterproofs foundation and masonry walls with cement, mortar, or plastic. • Lays and sets paving blocks of marble, concrete, tile, brick, or stone in simple patterns. • Performs routine cement finishing work. • Performs related work as required. Requirements • Ability to work Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. • Willingness to participate in paid job readiness training. • Ability to work with city agencies and nonprofit organizations.
