Commercial Brick/Block Mason

PRIMARY PURPOSE: • Lay building materials, such as brick, concrete block, stone, glass block, and terra-cotta block, to the highest quality for construction of walls and other structures. ROUTINE DUTIES: • Construct corners by fastening in plumb position a corner pole or building a corner pyramid of bricks, and filling in between the corners using a line from corner to corner to guide each course of brick, block, stone, etc. • Measure distance from reference points and mark guidelines to lay out work, using plumb bobs, rules, and levels. • Assist Superintendent in calculating the materials required to finish day out and or topping wall out at required heights. • Break or cut bricks, tiles, or blocks to size, using trowel edge, hammer, or power saw. • Remove excess mortar with trowels and hand tools, and finish mortar joints with jointing tools, for a sealed, uniform appearance. • Assist in helping laborers out, when needed, in stocking materials and or building scaffolding. • And other assigned duties, willing to help where needed, patching, clean up, etc. BENEFITS: Competitive Benefit Package including: • 401K match • Health Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • Life Insurance • Leave time and Holidays • Referral Bonus • Per diem is paid to employees based on the distance from their home to the jobsite CORE VALUES Value Honesty Amazing Judgment Leading by Taking Action Unified Team Exceeding Customer Expectations Swift to Change Lang Masonry Contractors is an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce. Experienced Brick Mason

Job Title: Experienced Brick Mason Company Overview: We are a high-quality masonry company specializing in brick, block, and stone work. Most of our projects are based in Cincinnati, particularly in Hyde Park and Indian Hill, with occasional work in Northern Kentucky and Indiana. Our work ranges from detailed tuckpointing jobs to full-scale custom home builds. We are also known for crafting custom outdoor fireplaces. What We’re Looking For: We are seeking a skilled and experienced brick mason who takes pride in quality craftsmanship. This is a full-time, in-person position with consistent work throughout the year. Responsibilities: • Lay brick, block, and stone with precision and consistency. • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and elevations. • Use a brick rule to align to heights for windows, doors, and other openings. • Set wall caps and lay material using proper slope, level, and plumb standards. • Remove damaged masonry materials using chisels, hammers, or other tools. • Work safely and efficiently on residential and light commercial job sites. What We Do: We specialize in all masonry work, including brick, block, and stone. Most of our projects are in Cincinnati, particularly in Hyde Park and Indian Hill, with some work in Northern Kentucky and Indiana. Our services range from small tuckpointing jobs to large new home construction. We also build custom outdoor fireplaces. Duties/Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience (preferred) • Cut bricks, blocks and stone to size, using trowel edge, hammer, or power saw. • Remove excess mortar with trowels and hand tools, and finish mortar joints with jointing tools uniformly to properly seal joints. • Examine masonry structures to determine need for repair • Remove damaged brick, block, or mortar, using chisels, chipping hammers, or bars. • Build plumb strait corners using a corner pole or by use of a level, then lay block and or brick between corners using a string line. Salary/Wage: $25.00 - $35.00 based on experience Position Status: 35-40 or more hrs/week Additional Information: Adequate transportation, smart phone, and basic masonry tools are required.
