Utility Construction Mechanic and Shop Foreman

Greenstone Construction LLC 210 W North Second Street ● Seneca, SC 29678 ● Phone (864) 882-5734 ● Fax (864) 882-0851 UTILITY CONSTRUCTION SHOP FOREMAN General Description/Definition and Nature of Work The Shop Foreman will be responsible for the maintaining of daily shop duties, materials and logistics while assisting construction and maintenance crews while preparing for their individual responsibilities while at the shop. This support will include detailed vehicle maint. and repairs, minor repairs to construction equipment and maintaining proper organization and inventory at the shop. Specific Task Responsibilities: Responsibilities may include any number of the following: • Unloading, storing, organizing and tracking of deliveries for different jobs • Vehicle maint and repairs • Delivery of equipment, tools or supplies to job sites • Equipment and trailer maint and minor repairs • Responsible for the shop grounds and cleanliness of facilities • Inventory management and proper storage of materials and supplies • Manage small tool and equipment usage/check in and out • Maintain proper storage of tools and equipment that are moved on and off and into storage from jobsites • Provide updates to Superintendent, Foreman and crew leaders on availability of small tools and equipment • Order/maintain and organize all consumables, PPE and hydration needs for construction and maint. crews • Provide a safe working environment for all employees while on shop grounds • Clean all shop buildings on a regular basis • Forklift and equipment operator for loading and unloading equipment and materials • Keep diligent records for vehicle and equipment maint in online software (Monday.com) • General security of shop grounds/manage security cameras • Most work outside and can be for extended periods of time • Physically capable of doing these requirements and capable of lifting up to 50lbs • Perform other related duties as required Key Competencies and Personal Attributes: • Attention to detail and accuracy • Punctual • Mechanically inclined • Good communication skills • Organizational skills • Information management • Problem-solving skills • Conflict management skills • Be honest and trustworthy • Be respectful and flexible • Demonstrate sound work ethics • Consistent • Focused Education Requirements: • None • High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred) Experience Required: • Position requires (3 to 5) years of proficient vehicle mechanical experience • Position requires (3 to 5) years of experience in the construction industry • Forklift and equipment operator experience (3-5 years) Experience Desired: • In depth experience with maintenance or mechanics background Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Schedule: • Monday to Friday Application Question(s): • Did you read the job description and understand what the requirements are? • Do you have the knowledge, skills and abilities to complete the task listed in the job description? • How would you describe your character?
