A trusted and family-owned general contractor in East Tennessee is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to lead the preconstruction and estimating process for residential, commercial, water mitigation, and renovation projects. With scopes ranging from $500K to $33M, this role plays a key part in shaping proposals and delivering competitive, accurate bids. Construction Estimator Responsibilities: • Lead the preconstruction estimating process for residential, commercial, municipal, and renovation projects • Review plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine scope and cost requirements • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material/labor cost estimates • Prepare and submit accurate bids/proposals • Collaborate with architects, engineers, PMs, and field teams for clarification and alignment • Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitiveness and scope compliance • Track cost data, market pricing, and labor trends to maintain up-to-date estimate models • Assist with preconstruction meetings, site walks, and vendor sourcing • Maintain organized documentation and provide support during project buyout and value engineering phases • Use Procore, Bluebeam, and Excel for estimating and reporting Construction Estimator Requirements: • 3+ years of proven experience as a construction estimator • Proficiency in reading blueprints, performing takeoffs, and understanding scopes of work • Skilled in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail • Understanding of construction methods and engineering principles • Experience preparing and submitting competitive proposals and budgets • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Comfortable coordinating with various teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred • Prior experience with a General Contractor is a plus Benefits: • Comprehensive medical benefits • Dental and vision insurance • Negotiable PTO • Paid holidays • Company vehicle provided for job-related travel if role evolves into Estimator/PM • Strong career growth potential • Stable, tight-knit company culture with long-term team members and low turnover • Regular team outings, events, and a supportive work environment Ready to estimate your next great opportunity?
