Vice President of Construction

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Construction to lead our construction division, overseeing multifamily, commercial, and hospitality projects totaling ~$80M annually. This role reports to the President of Development and Construction and leads a high-performing team of Directors, Project Managers, and Construction Managers. You will drive quality, budget adherence, safety, and timely delivery of every project, while actively mentoring the team and shaping the future of our construction operations. Key Responsibilities: Project Execution & Quality • Oversee project execution from preconstruction to handover • Ensure all construction meets design specs and quality standards • Coordinate defect-free handovers and closeouts Schedule Management • Lead development of project timelines and 3-week look-aheads • Monitor progress, identify potential delays and adjust plans proactively Budget Oversight • Review and approve budgets, estimates, and contracts • Ensure real-time tracking of cost-to-complete and change orders • Partner with field leaders to control labor and subcontractor costs Municipal & Regulatory Coordination • Liaise with permitting agencies to streamline inspections and COs • Build strong relationships with municipalities and approval bodies Team Leadership & Development • Provide direction and oversight to project managers, superintendents, and field teams across all construction activities. • Coach high-potential talent and plan for succession • Foster a collaborative, results-driven, and servant-leadership culture Administrative & Strategic Oversight • Manage divisional budget, fleet, and equipment • Support business development and subcontractor relations • Deliver key reports and contribute to broader company strategy What We're Looking For: • 20+ years of progressive construction experience • Deep knowledge of multifamily, commercial, and hospitality builds • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred • Proven leadership in fast-paced construction environments • High-level skills in MS Excel, Project, and Procore • Strategic thinker with sharp problem-solving and organizational skills • Exceptional communication and mentorship capabilities • Willingness to travel for site visits across the Southeast Why Join MCC? • Be part of a company with over 40 years of success • Lead projects that make a lasting impact on our communities • Work with a talented and passionate team • Competitive salary, benefits, and growth opportunities Ready to Build What Matters? Carpenter Helper — Year-Round Position We are seeking a reliable Carpenter Helper for year-round work primarily focused on constructing barns and similar structures. This is a hands-on role in a construction environment with opportunities for growth based on experience and skill. Construction Administrator (CM-CA)

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR/ CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – MAJOR HEALTHCARE GOVERNMENT PROGRAM. We are seeking multiple Construction Administrator/Construction Manager to join our team at SIRIS to support a construction program at the VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. The Construction Administrator will report to a Program Manager as well as collaborate and assist VA client staff to provide data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on major construction projects. Construction Period Responsibilities include assisting with; •Monitoring project financial data and budgetary cost accounting •Construction phase scheduling •Progress meetings •Assisting in issue resolution •Testing and inspection services •Performing additional construction-related services •Claims administration •General office support functions •Preparing a variety of correspondence or meeting minutes from notes, briefs or limited comments. •Preparing timely correspondence or submittals •Receiving, reviewing, organizing, transmitting, filing or arranging delivery of a variety of records to ensure timely action by project stakeholders. •Track construction modifications, contractor requests for clarification, and material submittals associated with the project. •Entering and maintaining data in electronic databases. •Preparing and compiling a variety of reports, correspondence, and program status documents, consolidating information into comprehensive documents, and preparing the final form for review •Maintain spreadsheets and tracking tools for various project team members. •Entering and maintaining data in electronic databases Construction Administrator (CM-CA) Qualifications: •The CM-CA may possess a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence workexperience or knowledge to compensate for absence of higher education. A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted and will be reviewed for accountability. A detailed dossier shall be presented. • The CM-CA shall possess a working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project including Quality Assurance; Safety, Time, Cost, Change, and Information Management. • The CM-CA shall be familiar with the site operations of a General and Sub-contractor and the process of managing a building construction operation. • The CM-CA must have working experience in monitoring the construction for Quality Assurance. • The CM-CA shall have experience in preparing, analyzing, and identifying incongruities and deficiencies in the contractors work in relationship with the construction documents. In addition, they shall understand the baseline schedule and assist in determining the value of the acceptable work in place. • The CM-CA must possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat to monitor, update, and produce work products and compile data and records by applying both knowledge of the construction industry and computer literacy.
