Description: POSITION SUMMARY: As a Construction Engineer, you'll support project teams in planning, executing, and optimizing infrastructure projects that incorporate automated systems such as packaging, remote monitoring, smart sensors, and controllers. You’ll play a key role in bridging communication between various stakeholders, both internally and externally. Little Leaf will offer ongoing training opportunities through internal and third-party resources. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist in the design, planning, and execution of civil and building construction projects. • Work with senior engineers to develop and implement innovative construction solutions. • Communicate with engineers, project managers, and vendors across multiple disciplines. • Create and maintain detailed technical documents and drawings supporting all aspects of the construction project. • Periodic travel to assist in coordinating between on-site teams and design/construction offices. • Utilization of 3D modeling software packages to create working drawings. (Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD, Civil 3D.) • Assist in project planning and coordination. • Willing to participate in ongoing training efforts Requirements: REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS: • 3-5 years of experience • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. • Basic understanding or interest in automation systems used in construction, building automation, and packaging. • Familiarity with engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, etc.). • Strong communication and collaboration skills across multicultural teams. • Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic team. • Willingness to travel and/or relocate for short-term project assignments. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS: • Experience related to construction, automation, packaging, and/or electrical. • Ability to utilize project management software such as MS Project. • Experience working with SEIMENS automation software and hardware. • Familiarity in interpreting and understanding local, state, and federal building codes. • Knowledge of BIM and IoT applications in infrastructure. • Experience with data analysis or programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB) is a plus. Qualifications • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience. • 4-6 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred. • Detailed knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, project health, safety, and environment (HSE), quality, building materials, and required standards as per subject area. • Ability to apply basic engineering/problem-solving principles to construction challenges. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Proven flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize own work, and direct-report tasks. • Able to create and lead schedules a comprehensive scale. (P6 a plus) • Ability to formulate subcontracts and administer subcontracts and contract documents. (CMIC a plus) • Proven understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems with a strong skills for embracing new technology.
