Key Responsibilities • Construction & Repair: Build, repair, and maintain walls, walkways, chimneys, foundations, and other structures using brick, stone, and concrete blocks. • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for accurate execution. • Material Preparation: Mix and prepare mortar, concrete, and adhesives, ensuring correct consistency and application. • Measurement & Layout: Measure distances, angles, and alignments to ensure precision in masonry work. • Cutting & Shaping: Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to cut and shape materials as needed. • Safety & Maintenance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized worksite. • Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets structural and aesthetic standards. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Mason or in a similar role. • Proficiency with masonry tools (trowels, chisels, levels, etc.). • Strong knowledge of materials including brick, stone, concrete, and mortar. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical plans. • Physical stamina for demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions. • Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Familiarity with construction safety regulations.
