WHAT YOU'LL DO As a member of the Tooling department, the Tooling/CNC Operator will test new fixtures and programs to produce machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC machine. Additionally, the technician will fabricate, assemble, and repair various types of composite mold tooling. Will work with a variety of composite materials, hand tools, and power tools such as grinders, saws, and sanders. Other expectations may include: • Set-up and operate CNC equipment to prove out programs and machining concepts • Assist in troubleshooting of new programs/fixtures • Configure tools and ensure efficient production • Use dimensional measurement tools • Lay-up composite materials • Vacuum bag and consolidate materials • Read blueprints, templates, process sheets, and other authorized documents • Develop shop aids to facilitate the fabrication of composite parts • Perform repairs • Maintain electronic and paper records as required • Maintain a clean and orderly work area • Assist other operators WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM • Experience running CNC machines • Experience reading and understanding G Code • Will maintain quality and safety standards, record keeping, maintaining equipment and supplies • Effective verbal, written, and mathematical skills are required • Must be able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications, blueprints, and drawings, and perform normal math calculations easily • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future EXPERIENCE WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING A PLUS • Troubleshooting CNC machines • CNC Tool selection optimization • Knowledge in assembly, machining, ability to read and understand drawings, quality control, and safety • Familiarity with cutting a wide range of materials is helpful • Fagor controller experience is desirable • Experience working with fiber composites is desirable WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU • Mid-level up to experienced aerospace manufacturing position • Competitive wages starting at $25/hr. • Shift: MondayFriday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm • On-the-job training andadvancement opportunities • Three (3) weeks of paid time off (Includes apaid week off between Christmas and New Year) • Seven (7) paid holidays • Discretionary year-endBonus • 100% paidhealth, vision, and dental benefits for employees & 50% for dependents • 401K retirement plan with a3% matchingprogram • Pay increasesbased on performance • Friendly team environment and fun company events Epic Aircraft does notaccept3rd party agency solicitation requests
