Job Title: Process Technician This individual plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machines and equipment in their assigned work area. They report directly to a Group Leader, Supervisor or Manager and are responsible for processing, setup and troubleshooting of machinery. The key responsibilities include maintaining high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies within their assigned area. • Maintain efficient operations, analyze problems, implement solutions and report process and equipment issues to supervisors. • Troubleshoot and repair machinery, train new employees and assist other areas as needed. • Adhere to established rules, regulations, policies and procedures. • Support effective scrap reduction and cost-saving programs. • Communicate effectively with colleagues and perform tasks requiring support and cooperation. • Be prepared to work any shift assigned and contribute to overtime efforts when required. • Be flexible to perform various tasks within their assigned area in case of employee absence or additional requirements. Position: Tooling Machinist at Nemak Sylacauga, Talladega County, AL Job Description Job Description: Performs machining jobs from blueprints for tooling and spare parts. Essential Functions: • Ability to do machining operations on mill, lathe, EDM, drill press, and surface grinder. • Ability to quickly and accurately take measurements with micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, depth “mics”, and hole bore gauges, etc. • Ability to operate CNC equipment. • Ability to create programs for CNC equipment. • Ability to efficiently read and understand complex blueprints and to perform machining operations based on those blueprints. • Ability to evaluate work to be done and efficiently make set-ups and do machining operations to accomplish the desired work. • Ability to skillfully and artfully use hand-finishing tools. • Ability to sharpen and shape cutting tools. • Performs special projects. • Ability to work overtime on short notice, including weekends. • Ability to have regular physical attendance per the regular shift schedule. • Other duties as required by the Supervisor and/or other management personnel. Preferred Knowledge and Abilities: • Maintain order and cleanliness in machining area. • Maintain tooling for machining equipment. • Attends weekly/monthly departmental meetings. • Follow all safety rules and regulations. Minimum requirements (training, experience, education): • High School Diploma or GED required. Some technical training preferred. • Good mechanical skills. Can disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment. • Have some welding skills, exposure to mig, tig, and arc welding. • Possess ability to use hand tools such as mills, lathes, and grinders. • Possess knowledge of complex blueprint reading and assembly drawings. • Use calipers and micrometers for dimensional inspections Schedule: Day Shift #J-18808-Ljbffr
