Maintenance Machinist

Check and ensure that the facilitys machine tools and equipment are functioning properly and that output will meet specifications; Review sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products; Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine tools such as mills, lathes, etc.; Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools such as mills, lathes or grinders, and verify operational efficiency; Evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability; Maintain machine tools and equipment in proper operational condition; Identify and analyze machine tools and equipment malfunctions to determine needs for adjustments or repairs, and take corrective actions as appropriate; Evaluate all maintenance-related downtimes and propose plans according to data to reduce downtime; Perform preventive, routine and emergency maintenance and repair of machine tools and equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, related systems and components; and Prepare and maintain records and forms documenting work performed.
