Machinist Level 1 - 2 Positions Available! Shift Availability: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 PM to 7 AM; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7 AM to 7 PM Key Responsibilities: • Commit to and lead by example regarding environmental health and safety principles. • Adhere to operator work instructions, SOPs, and quality/safety procedures. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring machines and tools are free of debris. • Support productivity by troubleshooting production issues and performing machine setups under guidance. • Operate all machines and processes effectively in the assigned cell. • Make necessary offsets for tools to produce quality parts. • Preset and calibrate tools as needed. • Contribute actively to process improvements within your area. • Conduct thorough inspections of parts post-tool or program change. • Resolve common machine alarms and troubleshoot issues impacting production or quality. • Assist in monitoring process flow to meet production targets. • Perform repetitive inspections using precision instruments. • Train fellow machine operators on their responsibilities. • Report to a Cell Supervisor or production manager. • Participate in company efforts for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High school diploma with 2-4 years of manufacturing experience, or a related combination of education and experience. • Technical degree or approved apprenticeship in CNC mills/lathe is a plus. • Proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. • Knowledge of 5S, lean concepts, and metalworking practices. • Team player with effective communication skills. • Understanding of GD&T, machine programming languages (G & M codes), and blueprint reading. • Proficient in identifying and correcting defects. • Strong time management and attention to detail. • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt. • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work under pressure. Physical Requirements: • Lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds. • Perform standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday. • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and chemicals. • Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
