This role involves operating high-precision CNC lathes and mill-turn machines, working from detailed blueprints and process sheets. Machines You’ll Work On Daily: • DMG MORI NLX 2000 – 4-Axis Mill Turn • MORI SEIKI SL 203 – Lathe with Mill Turn • OKUMA LB3000 EX – Lathe with Mill Turn • MORI SEIKI MV 40E – Mill • HITACHI SEIKI VS50 – Mill Key Responsibilities: • Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines for production runs. • Perform cutting, shaping, drilling, reaming, deburring, chamfering, spot-facing, and countersinking tasks per specifications. • Align and fasten workpieces using established fixtures and methods. • Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut for quality finishes. • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gages, comparators, and visual inspection techniques. • Apply knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and machine shop math. • Maintain clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S standards. • Participate in Lean/Kaizen initiatives for continuous improvement. • Accurately complete SPC reports and quality documentation. • Perform basic equipment maintenance and cleaning. Job Requirements: • Minimum of 2 years’ machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment. • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including GD&T symbols. • Familiar with machine shop math including trigonometry. • Familiarity with CNC lathe operations, mill-turn machines, and setup procedures. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Basic computer literacy for documentation and ERP system navigation. • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and demonstrate manual dexterity. • Willingness to train on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift. • Forklift certification (preferred or willing to obtain). • Must be a reliable team player and contributor to a Lean manufacturing culture.
