Artec Metal Works is hiring a CNC Machinist II to set up and run mills and lathes in steel, aluminum, and stainless. Read prints with GD&T, set tools and offsets, prove out and edit programs at the control, improve cycle time, and own quality from first article through final. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for steel, aluminum, and stainless • Read prints and models, apply GD&T, and hold tight tolerances as required • Load tools, set work and tool offsets, prove out programs, and run first articles • Make on-control program edits, optimize feeds and speeds, and reduce cycle time • Inspect using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and pin gauges • Deburr and finish parts, complete travelers, and update jobs in M1 ERP • Partner with Engineering and Quality to resolve fit or function issues • Perform routine maintenance and keep a clean, safe work area • Independent setups; light CAM edits; holds ±0.001 Qualifications Requirements • 3 or more years of CNC machining in a job shop or production setting • Strong set-up skills, tooling selection, and work holding fundamentals • Solid print reading and comfortable doing shop math and trig • Confident editing G-code at the control • Reliable, organized, and accountable to schedule and quality targets • CAM experience • Manual mill or lathe skills for fast one-offs and fixtures Good to Have • CMM or advanced inspection experience • Automotive or off-road parts background good to have Additional Information Schedule • Day shift with occasional overtime based on deadlines Pay and Benefits • $30 to $37per hour • 401(k) matching • Employee discount • Flexible schedule • Paid time off (PTO) • Team lunches • Bonus pay • Paid Holidays Physical and Safety Requirements • Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs • Use PPE including safety glasses and hearing protection • Follow all shop safety procedures Feel free to send in your resume via email, or you can check out our other open positions here: https://artecindustries.com/pages/careers

Role Description & Responsibilities: As a Machinist in our Case Center of Excellence, you will work on and inspect High Value rocket motor case manufacturing activities utilizing Machining Centers and Hand Operations. This job involves machining parts per specification by setting up and operating CNC equipment. The Machinist is responsible for: quality of the product by performing both in-process and final part inspections, care and maintenance of the equipment, assuring tooling and materials readiness, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position will require the individual to provide training to others in all aspects of CNC equipment setup, operation and maintenance. This is a weekend, night shift position (12 hour shifts) . Overtime is worked as necessary.
