CNC Machine Operator

MIRO Industries is hiring a full-time CNC Machine Operator, in our Heber City, Utah, warehouse. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. We have both a day shift (7 AM – 3:30 PM) and a swing shift (2:30 PM - 11 PM) spot available. You get a set schedule, keeping your weekends free and holidays off! Pay starts at $18 per hour, depending on experience. MIRO’s Fabrication department makes strut and brackets out of metal that are used by our Custom Build and Assembly departments to build our support products. The fabrication department uses multiple CNC machines to do this, including a laser, press brake, and strut channel roll forming machines. If hired as a Fabricator, you will receive on-the-job training. MIRO places high priority on safety and lean and 5S practices and this position is expected to be fully engaged in implementing safe practices and helping the warehouse reach its goals. The Machine Operator’s responsibilities include: • Operating the hydraulic press brake • Operating the strut roll forming machine • Operating the laser • Operating other machines such as bandsaw, spot welder, iron worker, overhead crane, and forklift • Other duties as needed and directed by manager Qualifications: • Able to convert fractions to decimals • Have other basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division • Able to read a tape measure • Know how to use a level, square, and calipers • Able to troubleshoot and fix problems with machines, materials, or processes • Prior experience preferred, not required Requirements for a Fabricator: • At least 18 years old (a state requirement for using power tools), • Willing to learn and willing to make suggestions for improvement, • Able to be on feet all day on a concrete floor, • Able to lift 40 50 lbs. several times a day, • Tolerant of temperature swings (warehouse is warm in summer and cool in winter), • Keep work area clean, neat, and organized according to Lean principles.
