Our client, a high-precision manufacturing facility, is seeking a CNC Machine Service Technician to join their Facilities team. As a CNC Machine Service Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the ongoing operation and repair of complex CNC metalworking machinery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: CNC Machine Service Technician Location: New Orleans, LA Pay Range: $25 to $30/hr depending on experience Shift: 7am to 3:30pm What's the Job? • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex CNC metalworking machines and process equipment. • Diagnose and repair issues down to the component level in precision electro-mechanical machinery. • Identify equipment and gauge out-of-tolerance conditions and make appropriate repairs. • Analyze failures, implement modifications, and perform preventive maintenance measures. • Collaborate with management, vendors, and manufacturers to analyze problems and improve equipment performance. What's Needed? • Prior experience in troubleshooting and repairing CNC or similar machinery is preferred, but entry-level candidates are also encouraged to apply. • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and service manuals, and operate various tools and machines. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Familiarity with computerized maintenance and calibration tracking systems is a plus. See More Details >>About the position Responsibilities • Load stock into CNC machine work holding devices and monitor the machining process. • Perform visual and physical inspection of parts produced per Laitram Machine Shop Quality Management System. • Perform accurate transactions (clock on, clock off, entering quantities, closing out operation when done, filling in appropriate paperwork). • Clean equipment used and keep work area clean/organized. • Make adjustments at the machine control to maintain or improve part quality. • Perform standard machine job changeover procedures. • Conduct training as needed to assist in developing the skills of others.
