As a Machinist at our Valve Service Center will play a crucial role in fabricating and refining parts and components essential to our valve systems. As a Machinist, you will utilize manual Machining equipment to set up and meticulously craft parts, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a dedication to safety and excellence. How you’ll make an impact: • Execute machining procedures with procedures with precision using manual machinery and equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and band saws. • Conduct quality inspections and complete necessary documentation. • Prioritize safety and compliance by performing all tasks in accordance with established safety protocols, quality policies, specifications, and regulations. • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning tasks on machinery. • Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently when required. • Disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble, and test valve assemblies and components as necessary • Must be willing to work towards continuous improvement of output, quality and delivery • Analyze valve problems and choose corrective action • Work closely with Pressure Relief Service Technicians to expand knowledge base of Valve offerings Skills you’ll need: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Proven experience in manual machining operations. • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude • Must be willing to work towards continuous improvement of output, quality and delivery Here’s what will set you apart: • Technical or vocational training in machining. • Experience in valve assembly and testing. • Ability to read and interpret drawings and use measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
