Role Summary: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. This is a 2nd shift role: M-F (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) - 10% shift differential Responsibilities: • Operating Machine or Equipment – Operate basic equipment and machines and carry out routine tasks. • Operations Management – Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. • Equipment Maintenance and Repair - Help to maintain and repair equipment by carrying out preparations and providing assistance. • Health, Safety and Environment – Follow basic mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others. • Operational Compliance – Follow a straightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct. • Precision Equipment Utilization – Interpret and use precision measuring equipment/instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges. • Instructions and Drawings – Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances. • Internal Communications – Exchange information with people by having courteous interactions with them. • Policy and procedures - Works with guidance to understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements: • 5–7 years of relevant experience operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills • Experience in a manufacturing or repair environment • Proficiency in using and interpreting precision measuring equipment (such as micrometers) • Workshop experience • Uses clear and effective verbal communication skills to express ideas and request actions. • Works with guidance to plan, organize, and prioritize activities to efficiently meet business objectives . • Applies elementary concepts to manage and apply safe systems of work. CNC Machinist

Title: CNC Machinist Summary In this role, you will be expected to plan and carry out daily CNC machining work plans based on shop and customer needs. You will work closely with engineers, sales personnel and shop supervision/management to understand the needs of the customer and to meet delivery schedules. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • This job is demanding in terms of knowledge, skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. It requires the handling of multiple tasks with many unexpected interruptions. The job calls for the responsiveness and energy to work long hours and cover a wide scope without letting up on the pace. While training in certain, specific equipment is offered, the successful candidate must be diligent in learning on their own from time to time. • Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position. • Plans machining jobs by reviewing work orders, drawings, material specifications, etc. • Programs mills by entering instructions including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements, including basic geometry, etc. • Sets-up mills by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers, indicating vices, etc. • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards. • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and threading operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, etc. • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments • Assumes responsibility for communication efforts, both internal to JHC and external, to ensure that all parties/stakeholders have a clear understanding as to accuracy and timeliness requirements • Assumes responsibility for the overall safety of the work environment.
