Role Summary: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday 4:00 pm - 2:30 am) Responsibilities: • Operating Machine or Equipment – Operate basic equipment and machines and carry out routine tasks. • Operations Management – Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. • Equipment Maintenance and Repair - Help to maintain and repair equipment by carrying out preparations and providing assistance. • Health, Safety and Environment – Follow basic mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others. • Operational Compliance – Follow a straightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct. • Precision Equipment Utilization – Interpret and use precision measuring equipment/instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges. • Instructions and Drawings – Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances. • Internal Communications – Exchange information with people by having courteous • interactions with them. • Policy and procedures - Works with guidance to understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements: • 5-7 years years machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills. CNC Programmer

JOB DESCRIPTION CNC Programmer Reports to: Direct Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Know How: As a CNC programmer you will import, check, modify CNC files and compare them to detailed shop drawings. Utilizing various CNC machinery software’s. Prepare cut lists and other shop reports used by machine operators. This position plays a key role within our production team, ensuring that parts produced by the CNC machines are accurate and ready for shop fabrication in time to maintain production schedules and minimize machine downtime. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Interpret detailed structural steel shop drawings and cut sheets. · Use CNC machine software such as Vortman VACAM, Controlled Automation SICAM, Peddinghaus Peddimat, Steel Solutions, Bend-Tech, AutoCAD, Tekla PowerFab, etc. to import, modify, and prepare CNC files for shop production. · Prepare and/or modify shop cut lists and other various reports used by machine operators to produce the parts needed for shop fabrication. • Collaborate with managers, shop supervisors, machine operators, and other CNC programmers to clarify specific requirements and ensure schedules are met. • Communicate with coworkers to ensure consistency, minimize costly errors, and avoid machine downtime. • Work with production staff to troubleshoot and correct programming errors and/or machine issues. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: · Participates in team meetings and other basic duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience drafting in AutoCAD or similar software in a steel fabrication environment. • Must be able to read detailed structural steel shop drawings and communicate specific details. • Understanding of structural steel material types, sizes, and specifications. • Knowledge of weld symbols and bolted connections. • Familiarity with structural steel material processing machinery. • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). • A diploma or associate degree in drafting or related field, preferred but not required.
