THE OPPORTUNITY Louisiana Cat is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team in New Iberia, LA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC press brake machines and a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes. This position requires strong technical skills, precision, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. YOUR CONTRIBUTION • Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. • Set up and operate CNC plasma table to cut various grades of material according to engineering drawings and specifications. • Load raw material onto the burn table using overhead cranes or forklifts. • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine appropriate machine settings and fabrication methods. • Select and install appropriate tooling for each job, ensuring accuracy during set-up and changeovers. • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, tape measures, and squares to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality. • Make minor machine adjustments as needed and troubleshoot basic mechanical or programming issues. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards at all times. • Document production data and maintain accurate records of work completed. • Follow all safety guidelines and wear all necessary protective gear. MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS • REQUIRED: High School Diploma or (GED) equivalent • REQUIRED: 3–5 years of direct experience operating CNC press brake machines and Plasma cutting tables in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. • REQUIRED: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and shop drawings. • REQUIRED: Strong understanding of tooling, bend allowances, and metal characteristics. • REQUIRED: Ability to perform accurate measurements and basic mathematical calculations. • REQUIRED: Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. • REQUIRED: ISO 9001 knowledge • REQUIRED: Effective verbal and written communication skills. • REQUIRED: Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • REQUIRED: Able to work overtime when necessary.
