(depends on experience level) Shift: • 1st shift, Monday-Friday • 2nd shift, Monday-Friday Description: • Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a CNC Machinist responsible for setting up and operating lathes to perform a variety of machining operations, including turning, boring, threading, and facing, on metal workpieces. The machinist ensures the highest quality of production by interpreting specifications, adjusting machine settings, and inspecting completed workpieces to meet precise tolerances. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Machining certificate from a college or technical school preferred. • Minimum of six months of related machining experience. • Ability to read and understand G-code or knowledge of CNC programming. • Proficiency in reading drawings/specs with geometric tolerances. • Familiarity with tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and other machining accessories. • Basic math skills including algebra and geometry. • Experience with Wire EDM or 5-Axis Machining a plus. Responsibilities: • Operate CNC milling machines to produce quality parts. • Load parts, prove programs, operate controls, set offsets, perform simple edits, deburr, and inspect parts. • Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts. • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials. • Calculate and set machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth/angle of cut. • Detect and adjust for out-of-tolerance machining to ensure production quality. • Inspect dimensions and conformance of parts using precision measuring instruments. • Report equipment malfunctions and collaborate with team members to resolve quality or machining issues. • Maintain clean equipment and work area; perform basic preventative maintenance. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean practices. • Adhere to safety and environmental regulations and company policies. POSITION SUMMARY The duties of the Productions Machine Operator include but are not limited to operating high-speed machines, handling of sharps blades, changing of blades, cleaning machines on product change over. Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Setting up machines with proper blades for specific cuts and product. • Feed product • Clean machines. • Change blades. • Grease machines • Comply with attached critical settings on machine settings • Responsible for the proper product cut, setting up/cleaning machine. • Keeping production supplies • Proper handling/storage of blades • Follows all safety policies/procedure, particularly lock out/tag out procedures. • Follows attendance policy and other company policies/procedures. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS • Prior production/manufacturing machine operation experience preferred. • Previous experience within highspeed industrial environment preferred. • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment is necessary. • Knowledge of industrial technology a plus. • Understanding of the English language • Need basic math skills and reading comprehension.
