Job Description Expanding medical equipment manufacturing company is seeking a full-time experienced Laser Operator to set up and safely operate a machine to process and produce high quality products according to specs. Requirements: • Setup and document all tooling for machine. • During operation, accuracy and quality checks required by operator to ensure and maintain all required tolerances and quality. • Completes all required safety procedure prior to and during the operating of the Press Brake machine. • Operator will be required to maintain accuracy and motivation on routine repetitive jobs. • Operator will be required to maintain cleanliness of the machine and work area at all times. • Communicate to shift supervisor all production related items and prepare work related information for the next shift. Required Professional Skills • Responsible for validating travelers before starting, setting all machine controls and functions, deburring material and inspecting parts during and after production to ensure accuracy and conformality at all times. • Must be able to read and work from drawings and understand specifications – or determine from sample parts the dimensions and tolerances of the finished products, sequence of bending and set up requirements. • Ability to detect machine malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and ability to adjust the machine within requirements. Report all machine malfunction or drawing concerns to shift supervisor. • Must be able to calculate bend locations and blank sizes, set appropriate tonnage and tooling appropriate for each part to be bent/formed to specifications. • Ability to understand and implement quality control, cleanliness and organize area before and after each job, then properly mark each job according to SO, neatly stack on pallets and inform shift supervisor the order is completed and ready to move to next station. • Inform shift supervisor, QC Manager or Senior Management of changes in assignment and to resolve. • May perform other duties in other departments as assigned by management. • CNC programming for AMADA laser and punch machines for parts fabrication using AP100 software (PEM press, laser, press brake and other equipment). • vertical milling machine and CNC lathe. • Must have Mastercam knowledge. • Must have experience with Haas machine setup.
