Responsibilities • Set up all CNC and manual machines independently and productively. • Develop and utilize standard or improvised tooling and fixturing to machine parts to required tolerances as specified by blueprints and work instructions. • Operate machining equipment to meet quality and efficiency requirements. • Plan tooling, programming, and material requirements for the next scheduled job to ensure efficient changeover. • Understand CNC machine programming and modify programs at the terminal. • Maintain accurate written and computerized records of tooling requirements and program changes. • Perform periodic maintenance as required. • Utilize tools, supplies, and equipment cost-effectively. • Demonstrate goal orientation, initiative, reliability, and success in achieving department objectives. • Inspect own work to verify compliance. Work Environment Work in a very clean shop with 20-30 employees. The majority of work involves aluminum. Safety glasses are provided if needed.
