CNC Lathe Machinist Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision metal manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating CNC lathes to produce high-precision components. This role requires the ability to offset and change tooling, use precision inspection instruments to maintain quality, and to read blueprints and technical drawings. The CNC Lathe Machinist will work closely with inspectors, shift managers and other team members to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities • Operate CNC lathe machines to fabricate parts according to specifications. • Perform tooling offsets and to change tooling when required. • Read blueprints and technical drawings. • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, pin gages and drop gages to ensure parts meet quality standards. • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning and longevity. • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process. • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards. Experience • Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist or similar role in a metal manufacturing environment. • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their application in quality control. • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents effectively.
