Job Responsibilities: Operate across all bevel equipment and ensure up to date knowledge of all processes and standard operating procedures. Train and develop all new and existing operators as required, in partnership with Machining leadership, Quality, Automation, and Process Engineering. Assess and suggest changes and improvements to existing training programs and documentation and maintain alignment with peers across all shifts in the training and the development of operators. Complete initial setup verifications and in-process inspections IAW PCI to ensure quality standards are consistently met. Inspect manufactured parts to print, identify dimensional and cosmetic quality issues, and make necessary tool changes, offsets, or minor edits to correct the problem. Provide feedback to machining leadership and process engineering as necessary. Actively cross-train and maintain working knowledge of upstream and downstream processes to best inform actions within the Bevel work center. Load and understand program structure. Load and unload parts into standard fixtures maintaining clean, chip and burr free surfaces. Perform routine maintenance (wheel changes, cleaning, etc.) Adhere to all standard operating procedures including applicable documentation. Work with bevel team members to drive towards continuous improvement applying lean manufacturing principles to all aspects of job function. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: REQUIRED: A High School Diploma or GED equivalent, and minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC manufacturing, in a fast-paced production environment is required. Equivalency to the qualification standard will also be considered. Proven proficiency on all bevel platforms in use. Proven ability to train and develop new operators in all aspects of CNC bevel production. Mechatronics training and/or general automation experience Ability to maintain strict quality standards and through-put in a fast-paced production environment. Strong general math skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand when results were not as expected and determine potential root cause. Able to understand and follow written/oral instructions. PREFERRED: Certificate in Manufacturing Technology preferred. Familiarity with Berger and Siepmann controllers. Experience in use and selection of proper inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicator, refractometer.) General understanding of Cartesian coordinate system, G Code, and fixture set-up, adjustments, and set-up verification. Understand blueprints and familiar with GD&T. Working Conditions: Working Environment: Production floor position Physical Demands: Lifting up to 30 lbs. repetitively, 50 lbs. and standing for long periods of time. Travel Requirements: As needed, less than 5% of the time. Able to work in a manufacturing environment (exposure to dust, noise, oils and coolants, abrasives, heat, cold, adhesives, as well as automated and manual machinery).
