To learn more about the company please visit www.Roseburg.com.Requirements:Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience operating machines for grinding, cutting, and boring.Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.Tools: Must possess basic machinist tools.Math Skills: Strong basic math skills and understanding of specifications.Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to read CAD drawings and blueprints, follow written and verbal work orders, and understand drawing and machine specifications and technical manuals.Safety Focus: Ability to fight fires at the incipient phase and adhere to prescribed safety procedures.Attendance: Must maintain timely attendance per labor agreement/company policy.Quality Standards: Maintain high-quality and productivity standards as per plant requirements.Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication.Job Duties: Sets up and operates machine tools, including lathes, milling machines and grinders, to produce parts to specifications.Fits and assembles machined parts and completes goods or repairs parts, tools and devices.Operates welding/fabrication equipment.Positions and secures parts in work holding device.Receives work orders from team lead person.Use hand tools, wrenches, files and hand-deburring tools.Verifies dimensions and alignment with measuring instruments and devices such as micrometers.Studies specifications of damaged parts to determine dimensions and tolerances to be machined.Measures, marks and scribes dimensions and reference points to prepare the stock for machining.Cleans up work site as needed.Transports machined parts, devices and materials.Other duties as assigned.Attend all safety and crew meetingsMay fight fires at incipient phase.Qualifications:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team.
