As a Machinist’s Mate, you help ensure your ship arrives safely by maintaining the propulsion and auxiliary systems that get the crew in place for the mission. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Machinist’s Mates (MM) are responsible for operating and maintaining ship propulsion machinery, auxiliary equipment and outside machinery. Specifically, your job responsibilities as an MM may include: • Aligning piping systems for oil, water, air and steam • Operating ship boilers and steam turbines used for ship propulsion • Operating turbo generators used to produce electrical power • Cleaning, adjusting, testing and maintaining boilers, engines, generators • Maintaining auxiliary machinery including steering engines, elevators, winches, pumps and valves • Operating and maintaining water desalination plants • Maintaining refrigeration plants, air conditioning systems and galley equipment • Repairing valves, pumps, heat exchangers, compressors, steam turbines and hydraulic and pneumatic devices • Creating and analyzing machinery operating reports and records PAY & BENEFITS When you serve your country, you become a part of something truly important – and you deserve to be rewarded accordingly. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • U.S. citizen or equivalent • High school graduate or equivalent • 17 years of age or older General qualifications may vary depending upon whether you’re currently serving, whether you’ve served before or whether you’ve never served before. Title - Light Industrial - Mold Operator Job location - Milford, New Hampshire Job Type - Onsite Duration - 06 months contract role Shift time - 6:30am-2:30pm M-F Job Description • Work under general direction of the department supervisor and/or leader with a minimum of supervision following processes and procedures • Work from drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal or written instruction, work orders, process sheets. • Report defective materials, scrap, quality problems, or any other unusual condition or circumstance to technician and/or supervisor immediately. • Maintain personal production and quality standards as determined by supervision. • Responsible for product quality ? work must be inspected to ensure conformity to specifications and quality standards before, during, and after completion • Maintain records and other pertinent data as instructed or required. • Operate injection molding machine • Operate blending machine to be able to combine raw pellets together • Cut off excess material with an exacto knife • Inspect products for surface defects and flaws • Position and secure threaded cores and/or overmolds into mold • Fill machine hoppers • Follow all safety regulations. • Maintain area in a clean and orderly condition • Cross-train and work in other production areas • Perform similar and other related duties as instructed or required. Special Knowledge, Skills And Abilities • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Versatility required to perform many and varied other assembly and soldering operations manually. • Must have reasonable dexterity in hands to manipulate small parts. • Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment such as: micrometers and calipers preferred Additional Characteristics • This position works as both an individual contributor and in a team environment • This position required the ability to lift 25-55 lbs. occasionally, 20-55 lbs frequently, 10-25lbs. • This position may require standing and/or sitting for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours per day • This position required good manually dexterity and visual acuity
