Tool and Die Position

Position: Tool and Die Maker Pay: $30/hr Shift: 1st Shift Job Description: As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining precision tools, molds, and dies used in the manufacturing process. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of production operations. Key responsibilities include: Tool Fabrication: Use machining equipment and hand tools to fabricate and shape tools, dies, and molds according to engineering drawings and specifications. Operate CNC machines, lathes, grinders, and other equipment to produce parts with tight tolerances. Die Maintenance and Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair existing tools and dies to ensure proper functionality. Perform preventive maintenance to prolong the lifespan of tools and dies and minimize downtime. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of finished tools, dies, and molds to verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Make necessary adjustments to ensure products meet quality standards. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and production personnel to understand tooling requirements and resolve issues. Provide technical support and guidance to production teams during tool setup and operation. Qualifications: Previous experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role. Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment. Strong knowledge of tooling materials, cutting tools, and machining processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Attention to detail and precision in tool fabrication and maintenance. Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
