Miller Industries/SHC is seeking to fill the position of skilled CNC Machine Operator for our night shift. This position is based in our SHC Athens, Tennessee subsidiary manufacturing facility and is a part of our Machine Shop department. Operator may set up and operate various CNC machines as company needs require. Math/Measuring skills testing will be performed during interview process. Background Check and Pre-employment Drug Screening will be required. 10-hour NIGHT SHIFT, Sunday-Thursday Summary: Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, drill presses, lasers, lathes, and mills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc · Ensure working environment is clean and safe · Verify specifications · Read parts list · Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. · Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. · Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines · Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result · Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
