Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our 2nd shift manufacturing team. (3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday - Friday.) The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts according to customer specifications. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret technical drawings and strong attention to detail. The CNC Operator will ensure that production goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities • Operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings • Measure part dimensions with a micrometer, calipers, and various gages • Record quality inspections, debur parts and some hand finishing • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and quality of output • Adjust tooling for minor offsets • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards Requirements • Must be a US Citizen, or legal alien • Must be 18 years of age, or older • High school diploma or equivalent • Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing facility • Strong mechanical aptitude • Ability to operate (or quickly learn to operate) logic controllers and other factory machinery effectively • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Must not have had any felony convictions in the last 10 years Custom Tool is a Tennessee Drug Free Workplace. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE • Successful completion of an apprentice program with a licensed professional or established company required. • On-the job training available. • Tool and diemaker certification required.
