Machine Operator This is an exciting role that will be responsible for keeping the CNC machines running, taking appropriate measurements, loading the machine with raw material, completing relevant paperwork, finishing the product, identifying problems, and seeking help for troubleshooting. They are headquartered in the Arlington, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of a variety of aerospace components. If you are an individual who loves to work with Mill or Swiss machines and manufacture custom aerospace components, this role could be for you Responsibilities: • Can demonstrate the ability to set up, run, and dimensionally maintain quality in a production environment • Good Inspection Skills and Blueprint reading skills with the ability to use all shop inspection tools • Basic Troubleshooting skills and must be able to recognize production problems such as out-of-tolerance Machining, poor finishes, damaged or worn cutters, and tooling • Ability to dial in a hole or Edge-Find and set Machine Offsets • Basic understanding of G & M code • Versatility across multiple machine centers is a plus • Meets job standard times with minimal supervision Qualifications: • 1+ years of experience operating and setting up lathes is required • 1+ year experience with multi-turret lathes is preferred • 1+ year experience with live tooling is preferred • 1+ year experience with Swiss lathes is preferred • 1+ year experience with programming lathes is preferred • Three years plus experience running a CNC mill or recent a Machinist Tech Training Certificate is preferred • Proven ability to consistently run good parts that meet production standards • Strong skills and aptitude in math • Good organizational skills and attention to detail • A High School Diploma/GED, or trade/technical certification is preferred • Prior experience working in manufacturing is preferred • Prior experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring equipment is preferred • Understanding lean manufacturing principles is preferred Salary Range: • $20.00-32.00 per hour depending on experience.
