Warehouse Management Specialist

Warehouse Operations Coordinator Job Description This is a challenging role that requires the ability to coordinate and direct warehousing operations in a manner that accomplishes company goals and objectives. Job Summary: The Warehouse Operations Coordinator will assist with the planning and directing of warehousing operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective execution of operational procedures. This includes coordinating with the Director of Warehouse Operations to execute the operational direction for the Warehouse Division, executing operational procedures, monitoring activities of receiving, storage, and shipping, as well as inventory, facilities, and fleet management. The coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating with Plant Managers and the Director of Warehouse Operations for general building repair and maintenance, up-keep of facilities, maintenance of sprinkler systems, identification of major repairs and capital expenditure needs, and maintenance of records in support of such duties. Additionally, the coordinator will negotiate contracts with service providers, work with contractors and sub-contractors, assist company personnel at all locations, and inspect facilities, fleet, and equipment to ensure adherence to applicable regulations. Responsibilities: • Coordinate with Director of Warehouse Operations to execute operational direction for Warehouse Division • Execute operational procedures and monitor activities of receiving, storage, and shipping, as well as inventory, facilities, and fleet management • Negotiate contracts with service providers and work with contractors and sub-contractors • Assist company personnel at all locations and inspect facilities, fleet, and equipment Requirements:Education and/or Experience: A bachelor's degree in business management or a commensurate degree along with an adequate number of years of warehouse management experience. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess a valid state driver's license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment. Other Skills and Abilities: Telephone, E mail, FAX and copy machine, personal computer (Microsoft Office in particular), calculators, typewriter, etc. and other software necessary to perform job. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Machinist’s Mates (MM) are responsible for operating and maintaining ship propulsion machinery, auxiliary equipment and outside machinery.
