CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: HVAC Technician The Role: Southwest Michigan's premier residential service company seeks exceptional HVAC Technician to deliver the most efficient, highest quality customer experiences in residential HVAC repair and installation, including furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, and indoor air quality products. You will repair and install heating and air conditioning equipment and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions. Requirements: • Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to make on-the-job applications. • Proven track record in soldering, pipe threading, brazing, furnace and air conditioning service as well as installation, gas leak testing and repair. • Clean, safe driving record. • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities. • Strong verbal and written communications. • High integrity with advanced social skills and ability to make solid connections. • Strong desires to be a better technician tomorrow than you are today. • Outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment. • Competitive individual contributor who also loves to win as a team. • Highly motivated, self-starter who’s flexible and has a great attitude on life. • Journeyman License is a plus - but not required. • Plumbing, Pipe fitting and Boiler work is a plus - but not required. What You Need for this Position: • 2+ years of education or training in HVAC, or an Associate's Degree, in the facilities maintenance trades (HVAC preferred) • 5+ years experience in maintenance or repair experience in a commercial or industrial setting (HVAC Preferred) • Ability to use and train others on a variety of tools and power equipment. • Ability to plan and coordinate work; track and plan preventative maintenance work. • Ability to maintain records and reports in computerized and written formats, compliant with regulatory requirements. • Ability to effectively use email and automated calendaring systems. • Ability to make arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately. • Ability to learn and apply health and safety regulations. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Ability to Understand and follow oral and written directions. • Ability to Optimize efficiencies provided by automated maintenance management and service request tools. • Ability to work from blueprints, shop drawings and sketches. • Ability to and maintain cooperative working relationships. • Ability to stand and sit for long periods, able to stoop and bend and to handle responsibilities that may require repetitive motion tasks. • Strong communication and analytical skills with an attention to detail. • Physical ability to lift and carry 80 pounds, climb ladders, work with power tools, and be able to work in and around mechanical equipment.
