The Role: Our HVAC Service technicians diagnose and repair issues within each customer's home. Their priority is the customer, providing options and ensuring a 5-star quality service with every interaction, every call, in every home. HVAC Service technicians receive hourly pay between $24-$35 with bonus incentives. High performing technicians can average up to $45+ hourly income. Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor or General Manager.  Key Responsibilities: • Works under general supervision to perform maintenance calls  • Performs routine precision tune-ups and maintenance on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories in an accurate and timely manner  • Inspects and performs limited diagnostics on equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks  • Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed or required  • Responsible for delivery and removal of parts and equipment needed to complete service work  • Assists the Service Technician in servicing heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories  • Using hand-held device records all required information on customer call. Completes all forms and paperwork in a neat, timely, complete, and accurate manner. If necessary, collects payment from customers.  • Communicates with dispatch, while on duty, to ensure dispatcher has an accurate status report of activities and availability  • Responsible for delivery of excellent customer service and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction  • Promotes products and services to the customer. Calls Sales and Service Coordinator with specifics on replacement product sales leads generated from customer service visit.  • Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted for  • Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities  • Follows standard procedures and process, ensures that the company vehicle is properly stocked  • Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned  Health & Safety Roles and Responsibilities:  • Reports any unsafe acts, conditions and hazards to direct supervisor/manager immediately  • Reports  any  contravention  of  legislation  or  company  policy,  procedure  or  program  to  direct  supervisor/manager immediately  • Corrects substandard acts or conditions within area of control  • Uses  and  maintains  appropriate  personal  protective  equipment  (PPE)  as  prescribed  by  company  program(s) or procedure(s)  • Never removes or renders ineffective safety guards, devices, or clothing prescribed to be in place or worn  • Complies with the general rules as prescribed by company program(s) procedure(s)  • Operates devises or equipment as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s)  • Participates in any safety initiatives, teams, or committees  • Reports all injuries or incidents as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) immediately  • Provides  input  on  developing  safety initiatives and plans to  eliminate  exposures  that  could  cause  accidents  • Does not perform act that may endanger the safety or well-being of others  • Does not engage in any pranks, contests, or rough boisterous behavior  • Works in compliance with applicable legislative requirement Desired Skills and Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0 to 2 years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferred  • Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area  • EPA and safety certifications required  • Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of the operational functionality of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessories  • Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment  • Proficient and able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various service projects  • Basic skills in reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with electrical, refrigerant and duct systems on air conditioning equipment  • Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and resolve customer issues, complaints, or concerns  • Effective and efficient time-management and organizational skills  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed  • Experience performing basic maintenance work on HVAC equipment and related accessories is desirable  • Ability to stand and walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces to access HVAC units. Mobile HVAC/R Technician

What this job involves – Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Assures that equipment is being maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs keeping records of past operating experiences. Strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all HVAC/R systems. What is your day to day? • Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components. • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings. • Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities. • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations. • Submit P-card Receipts Daily • Update work order status in real time • Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed. Desired experience and technical skills Required: • MUST have commercial refrigeration experience (such as working with rack refrigeration, or supermarket refrigeration equipment). • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience • HVAC technicians must have a Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment) • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance. • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license Preferred: • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel • Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC / R • Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required #HVACjobs
