Key Responsibilities: • Installation and Repair: • Install new HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork, following manufacturer specifications and industry standards. • Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment malfunctions, such as mechanical failures, electrical issues, and refrigerant leaks, ensuring timely and effective resolution. • Replace or upgrade components of existing HVAC systems as needed to improve efficiency and performance. • Maintenance: • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting HVAC components, to prevent breakdowns and prolong system lifespan. • Conduct system inspections to identify potential issues or areas for improvement, recommending preventive measures or repairs as necessary. • Test HVAC systems to verify proper operation and compliance with performance standards. • Troubleshooting: • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot complex HVAC problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to restore functionality. • Provide technical guidance and support to clients on HVAC system operation, maintenance, and energy efficiency best practices. • Document all service activities, including repairs, maintenance tasks, and recommendations, for accurate record-keeping and future reference. • Compliance and Safety: • Ensure all HVAC work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards, prioritizing the safety of yourself and others at all times. • Stay informed about industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to HVAC systems, incorporating best practices into daily work activities. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures for equipment handling, storage, and disposal. • Prepare cost estimates. • Create records of materials used. • Ensure client satisfaction through timely and effective issue resolution.
