Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities: ~Read and work from blueprints, shop drawings and schematics. ~Perform electrical and plumbing work related to refrigeration and temperature control equipment. ~Work with all types of refrigerants, gases, welding equipment, tools and test equipment. ~Make all necessary tests and calibration for installation, maintenance and repair of equipment. ~Maintain operation and control of air handling systems. ~Install and maintain all types of air conditioning, refrigeration and temperature controls equipment. ~Physical demands of the position are heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, and bending flexibility. ~Must be able to work safely in varying temperature extremes since equipment is often located on roof tops and other unconditioned spaces.
