Journeyman HVAC Installer

Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring Commercial HVAC Installers for a year long multi-family housing project on the East side of Cleveland starting immediately. **$300 sign-on bonus** Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of verifiable commercial install experience. Valid driver's license, transportation and hand tools ARE required. PPE including hard hat, high-vis vest/shirt, safety glasses and work boots are required. Commercial HVAC Responsibilities: • Install new Commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in an apartment setting • Installs air handlers, condensing units, package equipment, duct work, refrigerant tubing, and related components; completes high and low voltage power connections. • Install units per code • On site installation of ductwork • Reading mechanical prints • Able to work interdependently, without supervision if needed • In shop/field fabrication of ductwork is PREFERRED • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures Commercial HVAC Qualifications: • 4+ years of previous commercial experience in HVAC • Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams / mechanical drawings • 2+ years on site ductwork fabrication experience • Ability to handle physical workload • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills • Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation and hand tools for trade/skill level • Must have all PPE listed Commercial HVAC Compensation/Benefits: • $300 sign-on bonus • $27-$30/hr BOE • Paid weekly • Paid time off/holidays • Comprehensive Medical/Dental • Equal Opportunity Employer Job Type: Contract Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location: In person

This entry-level position involves performing routine service checks, troubleshooting basic HVAC issues, and ensuring systems are running efficiently to maintain a comfortable and safe environment. The technician will work under the direction of senior HVAC personnel and will receive some on-the-job training to develop a deeper understanding of HVAC systems and their components. Key responsibilities include inspecting HVAC units, replacing filters, cleaning coils, monitoring system performance, and assisting with emergency repairs as needed. HVAC Tech 2 Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems on campus. This role ensures that all HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably to provide a comfortable and safe environment for occupants.
