A caregiver who excels in this role will: • Regularly inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems. • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and other equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenic freezers and rooftop heating/cooling units. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic controls, solid state microprocessors and system alarms. • Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: • High school diploma or GED • State of Ohio EPA approved certificate for either Type I and Type II or Universal Refrigerant Systems Service • Three years of experience as a commercial/residential air conditioning refrigeration technician.
