Electrical Journeyman-Commercial

Our company handles the entire flow of providing these products and services beginning with Sales, Provisioning, Design and Engineering, Contracting and Construction, Servicing and Maintenance. We are a licensed C-10 contractor and operate construction crews in various areas of CA and soon the rest of the U.S. Overview of Position • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations; • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, boxes, conduits, feeders, Panels, Commercial Switchgear up to 3000A, Transformers Disconnects and other commercial 208/480V electrical components; • Test electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance; • Maintain, repair, install and test switch-gear, transformers, switchboard meters; • Communicating with clients in a professional, courteous manner at all times. • Collaborating with construction workers, plumbers, and other crew members. • Trenching for electrical underground • Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility • Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices • Determine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and maps • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor • Use ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties. • Trench and install underground PVC and overhead EMT Secondary Functions • Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality; listens to others, is proactive in resolving issues. • Written Communication - Write clearly and informatively; conscious of audience and varies writing style accordingly, able to read and interpret written requirements. • Contributes to building a positive team spirit • Time Management: Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently • Professionalism – At all times Zero Impact Builders is an equal-opportunity employer. Electrical Field Technician

About Us Compound Electric is a small electrical business in Northern California operating across 18 counties from Lake Tahoe over to Redding down to San Jose. We are a team of professional and customer-centric employees servicing residential to commercial electrical projects. We are growing rapidly as a business and will have many new opportunities as we continue to expand. Overview The Field Technician is responsible for safely troubleshooting, installing, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial-residential buildings throughout Santa Rosa, Napa, and Marin County. This position is paid hourly and the rate is determined on experience. Mileage will be reimbursed at the federal rate for use of a personal vehicle. The purpose of this position is to serve all clients of Compound Electric with electrical needs in a timely manner. This scope of work is not physically demanding and requires minimal physical labor (mostly troubleshooting and customer service). The Field Technician provides the highest level of customer service and executes each project with integrity. Job Duties • Executes lightweight electrical work at a fast pace in a minimally physical role • Communicates with clients to establish job scope, details, and related costs • Articulates all job related questions and concerns immediately to management • Reviews electrical concerns and quickly troubleshoots genuine cause of failure • Coordinates with team members as needed while repairing electrical items • Submits detailed reports for completion of all assigned jobs Measurements of Success • Arrives to each job site on time and prepared with tools and materials • Average customer service rating of 4 out of 5, or higher • Completion of a minimum of 8 home warranty appointments daily, if assigned • Completion of private electrical jobs in the estimated timeframe determined • Improvement of Compound Electric’s service • Adherence to all job duties as described Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • 1 year minimum electrical experience • 1 year minimum customer service experience • Minimum 6 months of wiring new residential construction experience • Basic understanding of electrical circuitry and theory • Preferable experience in home warranty service calls • A valid driver's license • Ability to quickly troubleshoot electrical installation and possible failures • Own a reliable vehicle with auto insurance coverage • Own a variety of electrical and general hand tools • Own a reliable cell phone with data coverage for use of Dispatch Manager app • Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to submit clear and concise job reports Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
