Low Voltage Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, and CCTV surveillance. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, as well as proficiency in using power tools and field service techniques. Responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), fire alarms, and security systems. • Conduct routine inspections and testing of installed systems to ensure functionality and compliance with industry standards. • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner. • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions for surveillance and security requirements. • Adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) during all installations and repairs. • Utilize power tools effectively to build and install system components securely. • Document all work performed, including system configurations and maintenance procedures. • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding system operations and maintenance. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role in the field of security or surveillance systems. • Familiarity with IDS technology, fire alarm systems, CCTV installation, and general low voltage wiring practices. • Strong understanding of NEC regulations related to low voltage installations. • Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools necessary for installation tasks. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to detect issues quickly and implement effective solutions. • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. • Valid driver's license may be required for travel to job sites. Instrumentation and Electrical Technician

Requirements • Minimum 1 to 3 years' experience in the oil and gas industry working with 12 to 24 vdc instrumentation. • Must have working knowledge of electrical, SCADA, instrumentation, communication systems, and installation practices • Demonstrated knowledge of conduit, cable tray installations, Hazardous locations, Heat Trace, instrumentation, instrumentation tubing, and basic 480 volt trouble shooting • Demonstrated safety and leadership skills in a field environment with experience of taking and driving accountability for the construction and/or operations related projects in the field of Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Power • Demonstrated track record of developing engineering solutions with a focus on process, personal and environmental safety • Demonstrated ability to scope, troubleshoot and implement fit-for-purpose I&E equipment • Ability to read and interpret various documentation and drawings for electrical, electronic, instrumentation and process related equipment, including isometric drawings, schematics and P&ID's • Working knowledge of industry standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, Hart and standard I/O • Knowledge of functional testing using various test equipment 754/475, pressure module, hand pump, 789 process calibrator • Knowledgeable of NEC • Experience in Construction site safety • Knowledgeable in Electrical Safety • Computer skills Training and or certifications Osha 10 or safeland equivalent certification Arc flash training Manlift/forklift training Cpr/first aid certified Electrical Journeyman/Masters not required but preferred We are a Drug-Free Workplace.
