There are a variety of positions at our parks and lodges that range from skilled technicians to skilled trades. We are hiring a Carpenter for the Mammoth Hot Springs area. Responsibilities • Responsible for troubleshooting and employing the technical carpentry skills necessary for the safe operation, repair, maintenance, and seasonal opening/closing of Xanterra facilities, equipment, and assets. • Preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements of structural framing, building envelope, flooring, cabinetry, trim and other wood building systems and components. • Provides carpentry related safety and skills training for all location maintenance personnel. • Assists the Historic Preservation Crew (HPC) Manager with Historic Preservation training for location personnel. • Perform, track, and report work associated with corrective and preventive maintenance of structures and equipment, using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and work order logs. • Use the appropriate tools and materials needed for the completion of work orders in a safe and efficient manner. • Contribute to a safe, clean, healthy, respectful, and cooperative work environment. • Communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with a polite demeanor and professional appearance. • Self-motivated, able to work independently with limited supervision, and willing to occasionally work overtime and/or nights.
