Job Description: Subcontract Trim Carpenter We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Trim Carpenter to join our homebuilding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the precise installation of interior doors, trim, moldings, stair components, hardware, and for providing and estimating all materials required for the job. All work will be paid based on a master pricing agreement by job-specific Purchase Order. Jobs are located mostly between Evanston, WY to Rock Springs, WY. Responsibilities: • Material Estimation and Procurement: • Provide detailed material take-offs for all materials required for the trim job. • Supply and procure all necessary materials to complete the project. • Provide Tools and Equipment • Provide Truck, tools, and any other equipment required to complete work to complete work. Trip charges will be included in master pricing agreement to cover cost of travel if jobs outside main service are are required. • Door and Hardware Installation: • Install and shim interior and closet doors according to project specifications. • Ensure doors are properly aligned, operate smoothly, and have consistent margins and clearances. • Install door hardware, including locks, privacy locks, and door bumpers. • Install window screens securely. • Trim and Molding Work: • Cut and install trim moldings, window stools, door casings, baseboards, handrails, and closet shelving. • Ensure all joints are tightly fitted and secured, with consistent margins around doors and windows. • Use appropriate joining techniques (e.g., cope joints for inside corners, scarf joints for splices). • Stair Trimming: • Trim stairs in compliance with local building codes and project specifications. • Install risers, treads, newel posts, balusters, and handrails securely and accurately. • Ensure uniformity and safety in all stair components. • Bathroom and Miscellaneous Hardware Installation: • Install bathroom mirrors, ensuring they are level, plumb, and securely fastened. • Install bathroom hardware such as towel bars, towel rings, robe hooks, and paper holders according to plans and standards. • Follow manufacturer instructions for all hardware installations. • Material Handling and Site Maintenance: • Properly store and handle all materials to prevent damage and warping. • Remove all packaging and debris, disposing of waste in designated areas. • Leave the worksite in a clean and orderly condition upon completion. • Quality Assurance: • Verify that all installations meet quality standards and function correctly. • Adhere to local building codes and best practices throughout all tasks. • Coordinate effectively with the construction team to ensure project timelines are met. Qualifications: • Proven experience in trim carpentry and hardware installation in residential construction. • Ability to provide detailed material take-offs and supply necessary materials for the project. • Proficiency with carpentry tools and ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Knowledge of local building codes and construction standards. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Job Description Expand your construction skills and join the Army National Guard as a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist. You'll gain extensive, hands-on experience in the construction and maintenance of rigging devices, building layout, framing, and fabrication, and assisting in combat engineer missions. Through the use of your basic carpentry and masonry skills, your responsibilities will involve general heavy carpentry, structural steel, and masonry duties that include the fabrication, erection, maintenance, and repair of rigging devices, trusses, and other structural assemblies.
