Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our close-knit team who take pride in their work and genuinely enjoy their job. This role will oversee various construction and restoration projects across Rhode Island, primarily in the south of the state. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, construction, and restoration, with the ability to lead a team effectively. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Lead Carpenter will ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Duties • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction and restoration teams • Perform construction estimating for project planning and budgeting • Execute trim carpentry, frame carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently • Read blueprints and schematics to guide project execution • Oversee concrete forming, plastering, rebar installation, masonry, and stucco work • Manage roofing tasks including installation and repairs • Conduct water damage restoration and mold remediation as needed • Ensure compliance with safety regulations on the construction site • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions • Maintain a clean and organized work environment Skills • Proficient in construction estimating techniques • Strong background in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, and cabinetry • Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor associated with construction tasks • Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and assembly processes • Knowledge of restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation • Ability to perform plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, siding installation, metal stud framing, construction painting, and fabrication tasks • Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously The Lead Carpenter position is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in the construction and restoration industry while leading a dedicated team.
