Wind Turbine Technician - Maintenance

WIND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FOR WIND FARMS) • Experience with AW3000 turbines, performing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance. • Carry out administrative reporting tasks in the system used by the client. • Control the tool (revisions, calibrations...). • Visually check for corrosion or gaps between the lower flange of the first section and the concrete ring of the tower. • Check for oil leaks in the hydraulic and gearbox systems. • Check condition of air filter. • Verify the torque of critical bolts in the generator, hub, and pitch connections to ensure they are properly tightened. • Clean the radiator fins of the converter, gearbox, and generator cooling systems with a pressure washer. • Check the condition of the main bearing and verify that grease flows properly through all lubrication lines. • Experience in the tasks required (1 - 2 years would be sufficient). • Current GWO Certificate (is a must). A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TECHNICI AN In this intermediate- level position, you’ll use your skills and training to perform maintenance and/ or installation work on assigned wind turbines under minimal supervision. You will be provided with defined schedules and procedures including safety protocol, verbal/ written instructions, but you may provide mentorship to entry-level technicia ns.During a typical day, you may be working 250 feet above the ground, or working in small spaces to perform maintenance and repairs. You’ll be outside, and sometimes the weather isn’t great. You’ll be climbing, carrying tools and equipment and moving parts to complete your wo rk.Teamwork is a priority here, and our reputation for professionalism, safety and attention to detail are important to our customers.
