A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TECHNICI AN In this intermediate- level position, you’ll use your skills and training to perform maintenance and/ or installation work on assigned wind turbines under minimal supervision. You will be provided with defined schedules and procedures including safety protocol, verbal/ written instructions, but you may provide mentorship to entry-level technicia ns.During a typical day, you may be working 250 feet above the ground, or working in small spaces to perform maintenance and repairs. You’ll be outside, and sometimes the weather isn’t great. As a Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician III, you will carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, minor service, and/or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities. This position is 75% local and 25% travel. Must live within 90 miles of Davenport, IA. Signing bonuses up to $6,500 available for qualified candidates with required certifications and experience. Core Responsibilities • Conduct maintenance of equipment (fueling, lubrication, etc.) • Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements. • Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) as required to maintain a safe working environment. • Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records, using computer-based service reporting tools and procedures. • Use of various torque and tension tools. • Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisor with general supervision. • Be the first on site and last to leave, demonstrate leadership, accountability, and reliability. • Set and model professional standards for safety, performance, and communication. • Participating in a project kick off and coordinate on site logistics • Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the day • Serve as the face of Pearce Renewables to the client, maintain professional and productive relationships • Communicate clearly, proactively, and confidently to ensure ongoing trust and alignment. • Monitor weather, site conditions and shift changes to maintain productivity goals • Oversee and verify technician progression alongside the resource manager using Field Verification in Insite • Ensure completion of all DSR's daily • Track and report time, incidents, near misses, property damage, and equipment issues. Core Experience • 1 to 2 years of experience with tech fundamentals, GE NAM, and GE LOTO with preference for experience in 2X, 1X or converter. • Current GE LOTO Certification (required) Preventative Maintenance and Tech essential. • 1-year prior leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead teams in high-performance environments. • GWO certified (preferred) • Work within confined space areas, such as inside a wind turbine nacelle. • Knowledge of various turbine platforms. • Work meets customer and company standards required of position and job, including following project schedules. • Strong communication skills Physical/Work Environment At Pearce safety is our number one concern.
