Coil Wind Assembler

1.0 SUMMARY · Data Physics designs and markets high-performance test and measurement solutions for applications in noise and vibration. Data Physics has been a premier supplier of vibration test systems since 1984. · The Coil Wind Assembler performs mechanical assembly and sub-assembly of high-power AC and DC Coils and Armatures for use in electrodynamic shaker systems. Assembler is part of a process-controlled environment for making and testing finished products. 2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · The Coil Winder must be able to perform these essential functions. · Winds coils used in electrical equipment and instruments according to wiring diagrams, sample coil, or work order, using coil-winding machines and hand tools. · Uses hand tools, power tools, hydraulic tools, measuring devices, and material handling equipment · With the use of coil-forming equipment, fasten Armatures onto the machine arbor or mandrel with specialized fastening equipment. · With the use of specified bond materials, wraps between layers and around wound coil wire materials. · Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition · Performs maintenance and repairs on machines as required · Adheres to quality assurance procedures and Work Instructions. · Operate and maintain certification for Forklift 3.0 SKILLS · Technical training plus 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Completes tasks in a timely manner as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision · Familiar with coil wind equipment and processes. · Aluminum and Copper Welding and Brazing. · Grinding, Sanding, and Metalwork experience. 4.0 EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS · Familiar with coil wind equipment and processes. · Experience in aluminum and copper welding and brazing. · Coil Winding: 3 years (Required) 5.0 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT · While performing the duties of this job. · The employee is regularly exposed to vibration. · Works near moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. · The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee is required to wear Personal Protective Equipment e.g. noise protectors, safety glasses, safety shoes, safety harness and face masks. · 5.0 Physical Demands · The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds. · Often lift and move between 50- 100 pounds with assistance or with the aid of lifting devices. · Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. · Must be able to use a hammer or mallet to shape end windings or remove coil from fixtures. · Must be able to cut wire to form leads, using wire or bolt cutters. We are committed to delivering reliable, sustainable energy solutions across the U.S. We are currently looking for a proactive Environmental Compliance Coordinator to ensure our operations meet all federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, and permit conditions. This essential role involves executing environmental programs, representing the EHS team during agency inspections, and conducting site inspections to verify compliance at our operational facilities. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and highly organized, completing tasks efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision. This is a full-time hybrid position, requiring part-time remote work and regular day trips to our facilities located in Kern, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties for compliance activities. Candidates must be based within driving distance of these facilities to accommodate the regular travel requirements, with additional occasional travel to sites in Texas and New York, estimating around 50% travel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned as needed) • Implement and monitor comprehensive environmental compliance programs focusing on air pollution control, hazardous materials management, waste management, water quality, and spill prevention. • Manage hazardous materials inventories and waste management programs, including the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) and related documentation. • Conduct required inspections and maintain Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans while initiating updates as needed. • Act as a liaison during facility emergencies, providing on-call support and assisting with response efforts. • Prepare compliance reports for regulatory agencies, compiling and submitting accurate data. • Establish compliance review schedules and perform field inspections/audits to ensure program effectiveness. • Review and summarize facility operating permits and maintain environmental training programs for staff. • Develop and deliver training sessions to ensure company standards are met in compliance with regulations. • Collaborate with EHS, Operations, and Construction teams to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and permit requirements. • Organize and participate in Incident Command System (ICS) and emergency response training exercises. • Track compliance schedules, deadlines, and maintain organized compliance records and regulatory files. • Oversee multiple projects while preparing environmental permit applications and compliance plans. Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. • Minimum of 3 years of relevant environmental compliance experience, preferably within the renewable energy sector. • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting requirements on federal, state, and local levels. • Experience with erosion and sediment control, stormwater regulations, and environmental engineering compliance strategies. • Competency in performing inspections and audits to ensure compliance. • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Teams. • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work efficiently and independently. • Ability to engage and collaborate with others effectively while managing deadlines. • Attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work. Education and Experience • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience. • Familiarity with compliance agencies and requirements specific to California is preferred. • Certifications in environmental compliance programs (e.g., QSP, HAZWOPER) are a plus. Communication and Decision-Making Skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient in problem-solving and developing corrective action plans. We are seeking a self-starter Environmental Compliance Specialist to oversee environmental compliance in support of Terra-Gen operations complying with federal, state and local environmental laws, regulations and permits conditions.
